Theatre Charlotte Holds Auditions for A CHRISTMAS CAROL 10/9 & 10/10

Theatre Charlotte announces auditions for 'A Christmas Carol' adapted by John Jakes from the novel by Charles Dicken. Auditions dates will be Saturday, October 9 at 1pm and Sunday, October 10 at 7pm. Performances will be held on December 10, 11, 16 17, 18 at 7:00pm, December 11, 18 at 2:30pm (Saturday Matinees), and on December 12, 19 at 2:30pm (Sunday Matinees).

Theatre Charlotte, Charlotte's community theatre, is seeking 10 men, 6 women, 4 boys, and 2 girls for its' upcoming traditional holiday production of Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol.

Available roles include: Bob Cratchit; Scrooge's nephew, Fred; Fezziwig; Ghost of Christmas Present; Ghost of Christmas Past; Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come; Mrs. Cratchit; Tiny Tim; Mrs. Fezziwig; Young Ebenezer (20s); Fan; Belle; Charles Dickens (as narrator); and others. There will be some doubling and tripling of characters. Ages range from 8 to 80!

*The roles of Ebenezer Scrooge and Jacob Marley are already cast*

Auditions will consist of readings from the script. Singers are especially encouraged to audition as we will be assembling an ensemble of carolers that will be used throughout the show. Please bring a list of all definite and potential scheduling conflicts from October 11- December 18, 2010. An updated picture (head shot) and resume is appreciated but not required. Auditionees will only need to attend one audition date.
