Network transfers to Broadway from its critically acclaimed production in London, which also starred Cranston. Based on the 1976 film of the same name, it tells the story of anchorman Howard Beale who struggles to garner viewership until an on-air breakdown in his final broadcast. When the ratings come in, the network decides to keep him around. The show was adapted by Tony and Oliver winner Lee Hall and directed by Tony winner Ivo van Hove.
Tony®, Olivier, Emmy® and Golden Globe winner Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, All The Way) makes his triumphant return to Broadway in the National Theatre's sold-out, critically acclaimed production of Network.
Cranston won the 2018 Olivier Award for his tour-de-force performance. Tony and Olivier-winner Ivo van Hove (A View From the Bridge) directs this brilliantly innovative and electrifying production, also starring Tony Goldwyn (Scandal) and Emmy Award winner Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black). Ben Brantley of The New York Times raves, "Network thrills. It's convulsive, immersive and still mad as hell. Network feels as pertinent to our time as it did to its own."
