Now in its 30th year! Phantom Broadway is the musical all others are measured against. The timeless story, the unforgettable score, and an undeniable obsession that could never die. From his hideout beneath a 19th century Paris opera house, the brooding Phantom schemes to get closer to vocalist Christine Daae. The Phantom, wearing a mask to hide a congenital disfigurement, strong-arms management into giving the budding starlet key roles, but Christine instead falls for arts benefactor Raoul. Terrified at the notion of her absence, the Phantom enacts a plan to keep Christine by his side, while Raoul tries to foil the scheme.

Jay Armstrong Johnson can currently be seen as Raoul in Phantom of the Opera celebrates 30 years on Broadway. Up next you can see him as Bobby in City Center Encore's production of A Chorus Line. He made his Broadway debut in the 2009 Tony Award-winning revival of HAIRunderstudying the lead role of Claude. Other Broadway Credits include Catch Me If You Can(Standby for Aaron Tveit.), Hands On A Hardbody (Greg Wilhote), On the Town (Chip). Off-Broadway Jay has been seen in Wild Animals You Should Know (MCC), Working (Prospect Theater Company, Drama Desk Award), The Mad Ones (Prospect), and Terence McNally's Fire and Airdirected by John Doyle at Classic Stage Company starring along side Marin Mazzie in her very last stage appearance.

On television, Jay played Dr. Will Olsen for three seasons on the abc drama Quantico starring Priyanka Chopra. Other television/film credits include "Law and Order: SVU" and "Sex and the City 2".
