Inspired by Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew, Kiss Me, Kate features a book by Sam and Bella Spewack, and music and lyrics by Porter. The show won the first-ever Tony Award for Best Musical in 1949 and features iconic musical theater tunes including "Too Darn Hot," "So in Love," and "Always True to You in My Fashion."
