BRIEF SYNOPSIS: Martin Vanderhof is the vibrant patriarch of a lively, unconventional family living in the heart of New York City. Under his leadership, each family member is free to follow their passions, from eccentric hobbies to unconventional pursuits. But their unique way of life isn't without its challenges. As romance blooms with a partner from a dramatically different background, tensions rise. Complications further mount with the IRS's relentless pursuit of overdue taxes and the FBI's growing concern over suspicious activities involving explosive experiments in the basement. Yet, amid the chaos and clashes with the outside world, the Vanderhof clan stands united in their joyous defiance of convention. Their mantra remains clear: you can't take it with you, and they intend to live a full and joyful life.
