Wyrd Sisters at Upstart Arts

In Sir Terry Pratchett’s Shakespearean spoof (adapted by Stephen Briggs), three Discworld witches cheerfully conspire to rescue the heir of the foully murdered king of Lancre and place him on the throne, while the usurping Duke and Duchess try to manipulate a wandering troupe of actors into creating a play to convince audiences that they’re the good guys.  Plus a Fool, a ghost, and lots of random silliness — combined with some themes that are particularly relevant today.  Directed by Michelle Denise Norton, Upstart Arts brings all of this to life with our usual lively, contemporary ensemble flair in a Zoom presentation livestreamed on February 22 at 7:30 p.m. EST, with a recorded version presented the following afternoon, Sunday, February 23rd, 3 p.m.
