In one of Shakespeare's most hilarious romantic comedies, Viola and her twin brother, Sebastian, are shipwrecked off the coast of Illyria. She loses contact with her brother, believing him to be dead. After disguising herself as a young man, Viola ends up in the service of Duke Orsino. Before long she has fallen for the Duke, however he is unaware of this because he believes her to be a man. When Orsino uses the disguised Viola as an intermediary to court his prospective lover things begin to comically go awry upon the return of the long lost brother, Sebastian.
