York College is bringing The Simpsons from the screen to the WPAC stage. This new play by Anne Washburn explores how a digital society would cope with a post-apocalyptic, post-electric world. In this show, a group of strangers find comfort and common ground over their mutual love of The Simpsons. Anyone who has ever had a favorite story and tried to share it will relate to this tale that follows the new society more than 80 years into the future throughout the course of the play. The group unites to piece together memories of episodes and create staged versions, from commercials to a full musical adaptation of the episode, all the while discovering how our memories slowly shift without technology to guide us. Avid fans will love every reference, and those newer to the Simpsons will enjoy the many other pop culture references. Join us for the area premiere of this new play.
