  3. Jeffrey

Jeffrey, a gay actor/waiter, has sworn off sex after too many bouts with his partners about what is “safe” and what is not. In gay New York, though, sex is not something you can avoid. Whether catering a ditzy socialite’s “Hoe-down for AIDS” or cruising at a funeral; at the gym or in the back rooms of an anonymous sex club; at the annual Gay Pride Parade, or in the libidinous hands of a father-confessor, Jeffrey finds the pursuit of love and just plain old physical gratification to be the number-one preoccupation of his times—and the source of plenty of hilarity. Suddenly, just after he’s reconciled himself to celibacy, Jeffrey’s flamboyant friends introduce him to the man of his dreams, who also happens to be HIV-positive. What follows is an audacious and moving romantic comedy with a difference—one in which the quest for love and really fabulous clothes meet, and where unflagging humor prevails even when tragedy might be just around the corner.

“JEFFREY is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. (www.dramatists.com)”

Note: This performance contains sexual situations and sexual humor.

Cast and Creative team for Jeffrey at Little Theatre Of Mechanicsburg

Cast

MARK MYERS

Jeffrey
Mark is very excited to be in his first production with LTM! His past credits include Jack in the Importance of being Earnest, Kenickie in Grease, and Bill in Mamma Mia, all performed at Kutztown University. In his free time, Mark enjoys painting, playing video games, and messing with his cats: Beef and Finn. Mark would like to thank his fiancé, Kyle, for being insanely supportive throughout this process, and life in general. He’d also like to thank the cast, crew, and directive team for being so great to work with and giving him the opportunity to be involved with theatre again!

SAMUEL EISENHUTH

Skip Winkly, Angelique, & others
Samuel is thrilled to back at Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg after his recent stint as director of "'night, Mother". He was seen on stage here last year as Guildenstern in "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead". Past roles include: Oyster Mill Playhouse - Sir Lawrence Wargrave (And Then There Were None); Hershey Area Playhouse - Howie Corbett (Rabbit Hole); Gettysburg Community Theatre - John Proctor (The Crucible); Sancho Panza (Man of La Mancha). Samuel wishes to thank his amazing wife, Sarah, for her unending support and love! James 1:2-4

WILLIAM O'DONNELL

Father Julian, Sean, & others
William has been active in local theatre for many years. Favorite acting roles include Jack Manningham in Angel Street, Olf in Incorruptible, Murray in The Odd Couple, and Jack Warner in Shakespeare in Hollywood. He’s also directed productions of Wrong Turn At Lungfish and An Inspector Calls. He wishes to thank his fellow Jeffrey cast and crew for inspiration, his wife Shelley for the support and love, and his corgi puppy Bob for being good boy.

STEVEN FILER MUNLEY

father Dan, Chuck Farling, & others
Steven Filer Munley, a recent Pennsylvania transplant, is appearing in his second production at LTM. He most recently appeared as Mario in the Players on High production of Dying for a Slice. In 2024, he appeared in LTM’s Dial M for Murder as Inspector Hubbard, and as Lenny Ganz in Rumors for Players on High. He is privileged to be working with such a talented (and quite fearless) cast of actors on Jeffrey. Born and raised in New Jersey, Steven started performing at the tender age of 9, when he and two classmates asked their 3rd grade teacher to turn the back of their classroom into a stage, as there were no real arts opportunities offered to younger students at that time. It was the 1970s, and disco was all the rage, so he did learn to do the Hustle in gym class. Over the intervening years, he has been an actor, a singer, a writer, a director, and a musician in both amateur and professional capacities, including an appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Always open to new experiences and education, Steven recently worked on a stage crew for the very first time for LTM’s ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. He continues to study voice with the Roger Lentz Studio, and continues to hone his theatrical craft with acting coach Tom Brooks. He would like to thank his family and friends, old and new, near and far, for their continuing support, and offers deep gratitude to his past and present teachers and mentors. And yes, he was raised Catholic, but that is just an ironic coincidence. As to his potential experiences with the personalities of the other roles he is portraying, you may ask about those things when you’re older. Steven also thanks you, the audience member, for attending and supporting this show, as it touches on important experiences from our shared history, even if you might not have been aware of it at the time.

CHARLES MILLER

Darius
Charles Miller is a 23 year old aspiring actor and writer who hopes one day to show the world what he can do. This is his seventh show at LTM and he is so grateful to be back. He'd like to dedicate his performance as Darius and Man 1 to his wonderfully supportive and beautiful fiancé, Annie Hart. Along with his Mom, his late father, his brother Matthew, his grandma, his cousins, Bobby Zaccano, Mandi Hurley, Keith Bowerman, Amy Dove, Aaron Booth, Sam Eisenhuth, Vince Dangolovich, Emily Henry, the Kubasko’s, Charlie Wingert, Joel Perez, and the rest of his theater family (basically anyone he's ever done a show with). He hopes that everyone will enjoy the show!

MATT STEWART

Sterling
Matt is thrilled to be returning to the LTM stage again!  Matt has been involved in local theatre for many years, including playing Jack/Jesus in "Reefer Madness," and Eddie in "Lost in Yonkers" at LTM.  Other favorite past roles include Snoopy in "Snoopy: the Musical" and Orin Scrivello (the Dentist) in "Little Shop of Horrors."  In his spare time, Matt enjoys petting puppies, rewatching Star Trek, and eating bacon.

BEN FISLER

Steve
Ben Fisler is a professor at Harford Community College, and a freelance actor and technician in the Mid-Atlantic. This is his first production with LTM and he also "can't wait." Ben regularly performs with The Dinner Detective and Whodunnit For Hire, and will be featured in Iron Crow's Rocky Horror Show this June.

DUFFY BATZER

Debra Moorhouse, Mrs. Marcangelo, & others
Duffy Batzer is a Central Pennsylvanian, born and bred. From the Shakespeare troupe at Carlisle High School to No Refund Theater at Penn State to a variety of community theaters in the area, she has always enjoyed being part of a theater family. She is one of those insane people who loves teaching middle schoolers as a librarian in Carlisle. Off duty she spends time with her husband, John, their kids, Coltrane and Leila, and too many pets.

ANNIE HART

Woman in Bed
Annie is so excited to be playing the roles of Stage Manager and Woman in Bed in Jeffrey! Some of her favorite credits include Ophelia/Alfred in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, Calliope/ Brittania in Twas the Night Before Christmas, Audrey in Leading Ladies at LTM, the Ensemble of Puffs, Dentist Patient/ Puppeteer/ Crew in Little Shop of Horrors at Allenberry Playhouse, and a Conjuring Dancer in The Crucible at Carlisle Theatre. Annie would like to thank Keith, the cast and crew, and her friends and family for all of their love and constant support. She'd also like to thank her incredible fiancé Charles for his endless encouragement and all-around awesomeness.
