On Saturday, April 6, York Little Theatre, in conjunction with Baltimore's Denny & Lee Magic Studio, is presenting a rare opportunity to see a variety of delightful comedy/magic acts all in one spectacular event. The show includes magicians Dennis Haney (Denny & Lee), George Gilbert, Joseph DePaul, Rob Anderson, Jesse McCarley and Kim Z. Headlining the event is Scott Alexander, famous for his appearances on AMERICA'S GOT TALENT.

Scott Alexander's magic reached millions on NBC's season six of AMERICA'S GOT TALENT where he advanced all the way with his large stage illusions. With articles in People Magazine and Nations Business, the Oprah Show took notice and Scott was invited by Oprah Winfrey to make a guest appearance on her shoW. Scott had the honor of headlining on the Las Vegas Strip at Caesars Palace for over seven years and four thousand performances of large grand illusions fused with stand-up comedy magic. Scott's magic has been featured on The Syfy, Discovery Channel and NBC. Scott and his wife Jenny recently appeared on the prestigious Le Grand Plus Cabaret Du Monde in Paris.

George Gilbert is a Maryland-based Festival Entertainer, Magician, Comedian and Fire Eater who is known in the entertainment community as being able to build some of the largest crowds within minutes of his show starting. Gilbert was voted Best Magic Show in Ocean City, 2009. A native of the New York tri-state area, Joseph De Paul has been performing magic for over three years. A sleight of hand specialist, Joseph brings a modern charisma to sophisticated classic magic. Baltimore based magician Rob Anderson presents "Danger: Comedy!", a hilarious one-man magic show. Rob is also the creator and star of "Magic In Ya Mind!", the award-winning street magic parody inspired by Criss Angel. This one-man comedy show features impossible magic tricks, has been nominated for 6 awards since 2011, and helped Rob win the "Rising Star" award at the 2012 Reel Awards in Las Vegas. Jesse McCarley is a conjurer, hypnotist and juggler from the Baltimore area. Kim Z's magic all began after she watched a magician on tv at age 12. Since that time she has attended Street Magic in Las Vegas at McBride School of Magic, Tannens Magic Camp. She has performed magic in Ocean City at the Boardwalk and is a member of SYAM, (Society of Young American Magicians).

A Night of Magic and Wonder was the brainchild of magician and actor Casey "Cam" McMillion, who is the coordinator and director of the event. "I have three passions in life: acting, magic and music. York Little Theatre is the place where it all started for me; the place I spent countless hours and made a number of friends. The world-famous Denny & Lee magic studio is where I crafted my love for magic and illusion. Both businesses need help in these hard economic times and I wanted to do something which would not only raise money but also raise awareness of the value of community theatre, the extraordinary world of magic, and the arts," says McMillion. The first Night of Magic and Wonder was held on November 20, 2010, to a very appreciative audience. McMillion decided to organize a yearly event for this family entertainment favorite. "The response from the magic community has been great," explains McMillion. "These are some of the area's best entertainers (magicians) performing together for a great cause and they will illuminate your hearts--young and old alike. This will be like having a little bit of Las Vegas right in the heart of York, PA"

All proceeds for the evening will be divided between York Little Theatre and the Denny & Lee Magic Studio. York Little Theatre is the area's oldest and largest community theatre. Established in 1933 during the height of The Great Depression, YLT has been entertaining audiences with a wide variety of drama, musicals, programs, and classes for 80 years. Denny & Lee Magic Studio is a colorful Baltimore institution which also has a location in Las Vegas. For decades, performers at all levels have dropped by the store to shop, seek advice, or hobnob with other magicians. Lining the studio walls are signed publicity photos of some of the acts and artists Denny worked with. More information about Denny & Lee Magic Studio can be found at www.DennyMagic.com.

Says McMillion, "As a child, I loved attending magic shows. I would go home and imitate the magicians by throwing bed sheets over the family cat and pretending to make him disappear. I want to bring that joy into the hearts of others." A Night of Magic and Wonder will be held at York Little Theatre, 27 S. Belmont St., York, on April 6, and is sponsored by 98.5 the Peak. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. when strolling magicians will perform in the lobby before the main show which begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are just $15. Special $25 premium seating in the first 3 rows includes a 'meet and greet' with the magicians following the show!

All tickets are reserved. More information and tickets are available by calling the box office at 717-854-5715, 9 - 5, Monday through Friday, or visiting www.ylt.org .
