"$334,000 is in the bank with more yet to be received and counted" said Sue McMurtray, Managing Director. Voting with their checkbooks, people in the Cumberland Valley clearly cast their votes to keep Totem Pole Playhouse.

With this new money the theater will be presenting shows unlike any seen at Totem Pole in the past and for the first time in over 40 years it will offer a seven show season. Three comedies and four musicals, one with a cast of over 30 performers. Many Tony award winning shows or shows by Tony award winning writers will excite audiences enjoying the expanded 2013 season.

Executive Director Ray Ficca said "these bigger and better shows will cost more to produce than the smaller shows of recent years, yet there will be tickets to fit every budget, from as low as $9.50 to prime seats up to $69.50 for the big musicals. Season tickets to all seven shows will range from $176.50 to $390. Seven shows for an average price of just over $55 for the best seats in the house. A fifty percent discount is being offered to anyone under 22 years old to introduce him or her to the unique entertainment found in live professional theater. Almost all actors appearing at Totem Pole Playhouse are members of Actor's Equity, the union representing professional actors. "What is really great about Totem Pole is that there really isn't a bad seat in the house" said Ficca.

Efforts to put the theater back on a solid financial footing are far from over. "Old buildings and advancing technology always make demands on the checkbook to provide the quality of live professional theater Totem Pole audiences are used to." said Maxine Gindlesperger, Treasurer. "The best kind of continuing community support is the purchase of a season subscription as soon as they're available" she said.

Ficca went on to say, "With gratitude in our hearts, and a newfound sense of our responsibility to our audiences, we look ahead. Planning for the 2013 season is in the final stages and the season line up will be announced in November. Subscribers will be hearing from us soon, and tickets will go on sale in December, a wonderful Christmas present. 2013 will be our biggest and brightest season ever!"

Ficca concluded saying, "We have never been happier to say, See you at The Playhouse!"

Totem Pole Playhouse is a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation and all contributions are fully tax-deductible under the present federal tax code.
