For their annual fundraiser, Throughline Theatre Company will present a one-night-only performance of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield tonight, April 13th, at the South Park Township Library Community Center. The performance stars company members Tina Marie Cerny, Lauren Connolly, and Ursula Asmus Sears, and is directed by Director of Development and President of the company's Board of Directors, Sean Sears.

The play is a thorough send-up of all of Shakespeare's major works (and almost all of his lesser ones as well). Written for three actors, it begins with a parody of Romeo & Juliet before progressing to Titus Andronicus, Othello, Julius Caesar, Macbeth, and culminating in a completely unique take on Hamlet. The longest and arguably most famous of Shakespeare's plays actually undergoes several interpretations, including the world's shortest-ever performance, which clocks in under a minute.

In 2011, Throughline Theatre Company received a Proclamation from the Pittsburgh City Council in recognition of their efforts and achievements bringing high-quality, affordable Theatre to the region. The Pittsburgh City Paper called Throughline's 2012 production of August: Osage County "spellbinding."

Throughline Theatre Company's four-show season focuses on the theme of Changing the World. The Main Stage season begins in June with The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail by Robert Edwin Lee and Jerome Wallace, continue with Oedipus Rex by Sophocles in July, Saving the World by Jason Burkett in September, and concludes with The Farnsworth Invention by Aaron Sorkin, performed the last weekend in October and first weekend in November.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) will begin at 7 PM tonight, April 13th, and tickets are only available at the door for $10 each. The Community Center at the South Park Township Library is located just behind the library itself, at 2675 Brownsville Road, South Park, PA 15129.
