The Players Club of Swarthmore Presents A CHRISTMAS STORY  Image

The Players Club of Swarthmore presents A Christmas Story, The Musical , a holiday delight for the whole family. Based on the classic movie A Christmas Story released in 1983. A Christmas Story, The Musical features music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (The Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land) and an inventive book by Joseph Robinette. A Christmas Story, The Musical is directed and choreographed by Nate Golden. Music direction is by Madi Juleskusky. Tickets are available online at www.pcstheater.org. In A Christmas Story, The Musical, we meet young Ralphie Parker (Mikey Geddes, Holmes) and learn about his desperate quest for the most perfect of Christmas presents, a Red Ryder BB Gun. Ralphie dreams of scenarios to convince his Mother (Katie Elizabeth Hughes, Philadelphia), his teacher, (Miss) Shields (Constance Clay Pelesh, Media) and Santa (Sean Wiley, Woodlyn) to help him get his present. We also see his wacky home life with his Dad, The Old Man (John Paul Cappiello, Drexel Hill) and little brother, Randy (Amelia Carnahan). Jean Shepard (Terry Tracy, Drexel Hill) a grown up Ralphie is the narrator.

A Christmas Story, The Musical runs from Friday, Nov. 26, through Saturday, Dec. 8, and includes four matinee performances Thursday performances are at 7:30pm, Friday and Saturday night performances are at 8pm, Saturday afternoon performances are at 2pm, Sunday performances are at 2pm.
