On August 5 - 6, downtown York's historic Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center will welcome PNC Grow Up Great's Mobile Learning Adventure. This event is free of charge and runs from 12 p.m. -
3 p.m. on both days. PNC Grow Up Great's Mobile Learning Adventure (MLA) is a traveling exhibit that provides an opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn about the importance of early childhood education, while engaging in fun activities with their children.
"Not only are we excited to partner with PNC and the United Way of York County, we are pleased to be hosting this interactive, family friendly, learning experience for the youth in our community," said Ken Wesler, President and CEO of the Strand-Capitol.
Children will take center stage at the Strand and experience the MLA, which includes interactive kiosks, coloring activities and the "When I Grow Up" photo station, where kids dress up as different professionals and have their picture superimposed on an appropriate background. In addition, activity books and learning kits that demonstrate how to take everyday moments and turn them into learning opportunities are available to take home. Parents, caregivers and educators are invited to come out and join us from
12 p.m. - 3 p.m. on August 5 - 6. There is no charge for this event and no reservation is required. For more information please visit www.strandcapitol.org.
