Servant Stage Adds Another Summer Musical Theatre Camp ImageServant Stage Company has announced it will be adding a third Musical Theatre camp this summer, with a student production of Godspell, Jr. open to students ages 10-18. The camp will run from July 30th to August 8th, in addition to previously announced student productions of Seussical Jr. (June) and Into the Woods Jr. (July).

"When we saw that we already had over 120 students signed up for our Musical Theatre camps, and it was only March, we figured it was time to add a third option," says Wally Calderon, Servant Stage's Artistic Director. "We're excited to partner with Lancaster County Christian School this summer as we continue to expand the summer camps. Last year's camps had a huge impact on students, staff, and the community!"

While there are no longer spots available for the June and July camps, there are still spots available for the added August camp. Parents are encouraged to register early. Camps run from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day and students will perform their production for family, friends and the neighboring community. All three camps will be held on the campus of Lancaster County Christian School, 2390 New Holland Pike Lancaster.

Godspell is a hit Broadway musical by Stephen Schwartz, based on the Gospels and parables of Jesus. It features classic songs like "Day by Day," "All Good Gifts," and "All for the Best" with an eclectic blend of musical styles, ranging from pop to vaudeville.

Students will rehearse and perform a full-length student production and participate in daily workshops and masterclasses with a camp staff of experienced theatre professionals. All three camps will be directed by Mr. Calderon, who has directed in a variety of professional and educational settings, including the highly credited Stagedoor Manor in upstate New York, the Miracle Theatre in Pigeon Forge, TN, the Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH, and most recently directing and choreographing Sight & Sound Theatres' productions of Jonah and Miracle of Christmas.
