The Reading Theater Project presents their First Annual JazzFest After Hours Cabaret. The performance will take place at the Olympian Ballroom, 603 Penn Avenue, in West Reading on Saturday, April 9th at 9:00pm.
The Reading Theater Project's mission is to create new theater inspired by Reading and greater Berks County. In this spirit Reading Theater Project is hosting an evening of collaboration that celebrates JazzFest, local performers, and the Berks County community. There will be performances from regional comedians, dancers, musicians, and vocalists as well as auctions for items including a Jazz Fest 2017 VIP pass, a one night stay at the DoubleTree, & art & photography from local artists. Additionally there are dinner and a show raffles, dancing, and multiple cash bars. Admission is free with all proceeds donated to the Reading Theater Project.
The event will feature a live band comprised of local stars Bennie Sims (bass), Chris Heslop (saxophone), Andy Roberts (piano), and Peter Snyder (drums). The evening boasts an array of performers from across the region including; Tamara Black, Christine Cieplinski with Fatsy & the Girdles, Maria Damore, Vicki Graff, Stephen Jackson, Amie Kincade, Sue Lange, Zach Luchetti, Matt Mangus, Mary McCormick, Teresa Nutter, Lily Ogelsby, Christopher David Roche?, Rachel Skye, Julia Smith, Philly Improv Theatre's Warm Town, and Lauren Zehr.
