On October 8, Reading Theater Project is presenting an evening of performance entitled Ghost Karaoke. This interactive performance will take place at Mi Casa Su Casa at 320 Penn Street in Reading. In Ghost Karaoke RTP will stage interpretive ghost stories after which they will open the floor for members the audience to share their own stories.

Ghost Karaoke is being presented as an introduction to next year's production of DEAD of WINTER: Berks Haunting. That show will be performed at the Olympian Ballroom in January and February with a possible tour to venues further out in Berks County.

The Reading Theater Project's mission is to create new theater inspired by Reading and greater Berks County. As such, DEAD of WINTER will be a performance piece encompassing haunting activity in Berks from the 1700s to the 1950s. It will include scenarios with forgotten people of Berks such as the Lenni Lenape, Quakers, practitioners of Pow-wow, abolitionists, and slaves.

Ghost Karaoke continues the partnership between Reading Theater Project and Mi Casa Su Casa created earlier this year as part of the Penn Street Live series. The restaurant will be serving food when doors open at 6pm and throughout the evening. Performances will start at 7:30. Admission is $10.
