Paul Jost, a highly-acclaimed vocalist, drummer, arranger and composer, has always been a Richard Rodgers fan. He said appreciatively, "How could anyone not be a fan of Richard Rodgers? Throughout his career, Rodgers was often at the forefront, revolutionizing musical theater and bringing attention to sensitive social issues. His music has reached us through every arena -- theater, movies, television, pop music and jazz."

Richard Rodgers wrote more than 900 songs and 43 Broadway musicals. He also composed music for films and television. He is best known for his songwriting partnerships with the lyricists Oscar Hammerstein II and Lorenz Hart. His compositions have had a major impact on popular music down to the present day, and have an enduring broad appeal. He wrote such Broadway classics as "Pal Joey" with Lorenz Hart and "The Sound of Music," "Oklahoma," "Carousel," "South Pacific" and many more with Oscar Hammerstein II. Rodgers was the first person to win what are considered the top show business awards in television, recording, movies and Broadway-an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony-now known collectively as an EGOT. He has also won a most prestigious Pulitzer Prize.
