Tonight, March 14 at 7 PM, The Ware Center's Fam Fun Fest Series welcomes the colorful Miss Hiccup, the creation of Yanomi, an award-winning performer from Japan, and one of Tokyo's favorite clowns. Miss Hiccup lives alone but is definitely not lonely. She is accompanied by a raucous cast of sounds and music that make her life an absurd adventure in the hilarious and beautiful physical comedy A Day in the Life of Miss Hiccup.
The play is a wonderful combination of the surreal and the everyday interesting things that we experience all the time. No matter how hard she tries, Miss Hiccup cannot get rid of her hiccups. So she chooses to embrace the pesky things instead and, by doing so, finds great joy in her day.
Yanomi is a talented, charming clown, with a gentle presence who has a knack for drawing children into her magical world. Her Miss Hiccup's life is filled with a series of tiny humorous escapades in her quest to cure her hiccups. From a kid's-eye-point of view, A Day in the Life of Miss Hiccup is a whirlwind adventure, one that will also put parents in a child's frame of mind.
One hour before curtain, the Ware Center lobby will be filled with free creative hands-on activities for kids, and right after the performance kids will have an opportunity to meet with Miss Hiccup herself!
