The Fulton Theatre, located in historic Lancaster, PA is excited to kick off its first fully staged show of the Ellen Arnold Groff studio series with the griping drama A STEADY RAIN by Keith Huff.
Featured on Broadway in 2009, A STEADY RAIN explores the complexities of a lifelong bond between two men in blue, tainted by domestic affairs, violence and the rough streets of Chicago. Joey and Denny have been best friends since kindergarten, but when a domestic disturbance call takes a turn for the worse their friendship is put on the line. The result is a harrowing journey into a moral gray area where trust and loyalty struggle for survival against a sobering backdrop of public service among criminal lowlifes.
The Fulton's A STEADY RAIN will feature New York's Mitch Poulos (Billy Elliott National Tour, Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, and The Office) as Joey, and Philadelphia's Fran Prisco (Walnut St. Theatre's The Music Man, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Fulton's White Christmas) as Denny. These two powerhouse actors will bring Huff's words to life as part of the Ellen Arnold Groff Studio Series, now permanently featured in the Fulton's 99 seat black box studio space, providing a new level of intimacy, for pieces such as this.
A STEADY RAIN will be directed by The Fulton's Artistic Director Marc Robin, with set design by William Mohney, lighting design by Bill Simmons, sound design by Matthew Moran, and costumes by Anthony Lascoskie, Jr.
A STEADY RAIN plays September 8th-27th Tuesday through Sunday. Tickets are available by contacting the Fulton Box Office at 717-394-7134, or by visiting www.thefulton.org.
