Millbrook's Teen Performing Arts Academy Presents EMMA: A POP MUSICAL, JV.  Image

The Board of Directors and Artistic Director, David Leidholdt, present the Teen Performing Arts Academy's production of Emma: A Pop Musical JV. Playing Saturday, August 10 at 12:00pm and Sunday, August 11 at 2:00pm.

Emma, a senior at Highbury Prep, is certain she knows what's best for her classmates' love lives, and is determined to find the perfect boyfriend for shy sophomore Harriet by the end of the school year. But will Emma's relentless matchmaking get in the way of finding her own happiness? Based on Jane Austen's classic novel, this sparkling new musical features the hit songs of legendary girl groups and iconic female singers from The Supremes to Katy Perry, including; "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!", "Be My Baby", "How Will I Know?", "Girls Just Want To Have Fun." Girl power has never sounded so good!

The cast of Emma: A Pop Musical, JV features: Kelly Long as Emma, Garrett Cunningham as Jeff Knightley, Maggie Bressler as Harriet, Jaron Schadt as Martin, Sam Weaver as Phillip Eleton, Kaidyn Rogers as Jane Fairfax, Cale Blakely as Frankie Churchill, Elizabeth Flanigan as Miss Bates, Megan Spencer as Ashley. Welcoming Committee: Maia Crowell, Olivia Hanna, Kenetcha Long, Sydney Neff, Nettie Vernon, Mariele Wassom, Gracie Welshans. Ensemble: Madelyn Boone, Elaina Packer, Sophia Dorey, Bela Dunkle, Elise Cygan, Loren Glossner.

The Teen Performing Arts Academy staff includes; Director Michaela Barczak, Music Director Mo Ortbal, Choreographer Gianina Mugavero. Teaching Artist; Aimee Hunsinger, and Joshua Davis Farner.

Tickets are on sale now at the Millbrook Playhouse in the Ryan Mainstage Saturday, August 11 at 12:00pm and 3:30pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students. You can purchase tickets by calling 570-748-8083 or on line at www.millbrookplayhouse.org.
