QUOTE FROM RICK G.

Little Shop of Horrors is a horror comedy written by Howard Ashman with music by composer Alan Menken. The story follows Seymour Krelborn, a hapless floral shop employee from Skid Row, who finds his courage after his favorite plant develops a dangerous habit. Seymour (played by Rick Kopecky) finds help from his coworker, Audrey (played by Juliana Wardle), but not before the plant causes trouble for the residents of Skid Row.

The musical originally premiered off-off-Broadway in 1982 before moving to the Orpheum Theatre off-Broadway, where it enjoyed a 5-year run. Years later, the musical was adapted into the 1986 film of the same name and enjoyed a subsequent Broadway production.
