The Board of Directors and Artistic Director, David E. Leidholdt, are thrilled to launch their 54th season with the premier of a new musical from the writer of the smash-hit sensation, The Marvelous Wonderettes, Life Could Be a Dream written by Roger Bean, opening June 9, 2017 on the Ryan Main Stage.

SH-BOOM! Take another trip to Springfield where we meet a new boy group Denny and the Dreamers, a fledgling doo-wop singing group preparing to enter the Big Whopper Radio contest to realize their dreams of making it to the big time! Trouble comes in the form of Lois, who arrives to put some polish on the boys. Denny falls in love, Wally falls in line, Eugene falls apart, and along comes handsome heartthrob Skip to send the whole situation spinning. The '60s hits say it all: "Fools Fall in Love," "Tears on My Pillow," "Runaround Sue," "Earth Angel," "Stay," "Unchained Melody," "Lonely Teardrops," and "The Glory of Love." Winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Best Musical Award, Life Could Be a Dream will leave you laughing, singing, and cheering-let's hear it for the boys!

The cast includes Millbrook newcomer's Cam Cote as Denny Varney, Ricky Marchese as Wally Patton, and returning for a second season is Jack Gerhard (Smoke on the Mountain) as EuGene Johnson, Alex Beard (Rock of Ages, The Little Mermaid) as Skip Henderson, and Millbrook darling Alex Frost (The Rocky Horror Show, Leading Ladies, Baskerville) back for her third season at the barn, as Lois Franklin
