Kids' Night on Broadway is a year-round national audience development program of The Broadway League, the national trade association of the Broadway industry, created to introduce kids and young adults to the magical world of theatrical entertainment. For the first time ever, Hershey Theatre is proud to participate on Wednesday, February 26, when Sister Act visits town.
On Kids' Night on Broadway, kids ages 18 and under can see Sister Act for FREE when accompanied by a full-paying adult*. The night will be festive with kid-friendly activities and entertainment available in the lower lobby of Hershey Theatre, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Kids' Night on Broadway was created in 1996 by the League and Theatre Development Fun and has welcomed young people to Broadway shows in New York and on tour across the U.S. ever since.
Dennis Norton, Event Programming Manager for Hershey Theatre is thrilled to be partnering with The Broadway League's Kids' Night on Broadway program. "I believe that it is so important for our youth to experience, and be inspired by the performing arts. Hershey Entertainment and Hershey Theatre are proud to be part of a national program that makes the performing arts affordable, so that families can enjoy great shows like Sister Act together," says Norton.
Sister Act is Broadway's feel-amazing musical comedy smash! It tells the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a wannabe diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a crime and the cops hide her in the last place anyone would think to look-a convent! Under the suspicious watch of Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own.
