The Hershey Symphony Orchestra invites the public to a delightful evening of dancing and fun with its "Sound of Music" Shall We Dance Gala, May 3, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center.
Guests can celebrate the traditions of Austria and Germany at this black-tie optional event including a delicious dinner, formal photo opportunity, silent auction and a fabulous variety of entertainment. To add to the theme, attendees will enjoy traditional Austrian and Germany folk dances, performed by the Lancaster Liederkranz Shoe Plotters.
Both the Hershey Symphony Orchestra and the Hershey Symphony Big Band provide the backdrop for the evening for everyone to dance the night away. A beginner dance lesson will be given, followed by exhibition dance performances by Arthur Murray, Ballroom Break and Jessie Foster's Ballroom Dance School. WHP580 personality Dan Steele will be the Master of Ceremonies for the night.

For more than four decades, the Hershey Symphony Orchestra has entertained music lovers throughout Central Pennsylvania. Comprised of accomplished local musicians, the Hershey Symphony Orchestra is proud to enrich the community with its gift of music. Established in 1969 as a chamber ensemble by a group of musicians at the Hershey Medical Center, the Hershey Symphony has grown to be one of the largest volunteer orchestras in the nation with eighty-plus members from throughout central Pennsylvania.
