Join Hershey Area Playhouse for an evening of Shakespearean fun with its presentation of the classic tale The Tempest this weekend, August 15th and 16th at 7: 30 PM and August 17th at 2 PM.

After being exiled on a faraway island with his only child for twelve years, the Rightful Duke of Milan (Prospero) uses his magical powers to create a powerful tempest and bring those who have wronged him to the island. The twists and turns will keep you captivated in this enticing tale of revenge, greed, and love. The talented performing ensemble is led by Keith Bowerman as Prospero, Mandi Hurley as Ariel, and Sean Adams as Caliban. The cast also features Keith Alcorn, Josh Easton, Cerrena Gilman, Amy Jordan, Lorie Kimmel, Josh Kobel, Ryan McCoy, Sam McQuillen, John Messmer, Paul Michel, Kip Portman, Rita Smith, Nick Wasileski and Robert Zaccano.

Director and producer Pam Rohrbach describes The Tempest as being, "unique as it brings together tragedy and comedy with love and forgiveness. You will feel Prospero's pain and need for revenge, you will feel the sweetness of first love and you will laugh yourself silly when a butler, a jester and a slave monster drunkenly conspire to take over the island. This play truly is a wonderful adventure."

Performances will be held at the Hershey Area Playhouse: 830 Cherry Drive, Hershey, PA 17033. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by phone at 717.533.8525 or online at www.HersheyAreaPlayhouse.com.
