Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS will pounce onto the Hanover High School Performing Arts Center stage April 12-13 at 7pm and 14th at 2pm. Known to be one of the world's best known and meow-velous musicals, it is also one of the longest running shows on Broadway and the UK's East-End. Based on Old Possum's Book Of Practical Cats by T.S. Elliot, the creative costumes, makeup and set alone will be something to see- but the very talented cast, including some incredible dancers this year makes this show a must see for the entire family!

CATS is set amongst a larger-than-life junkyard playground and is alive with purr-fect felines including Munkustrap, played by Junior Luke Mumma, Rum Tum Tugger played by Freshman Diego Oropeza, Mr. Mistoffelees, played by Senior Malcolm Ellis, Macavity, played by Sophomore Malcolm Gerlach, Jennyanydots, played by Freshman Lea Coppola, Old Deuteronomy, played by Junior Ben Newman, Skimbleshanks, played by Senior Sam Duvall, and Grizabella played by Junior Izzy Oropeza.

What if you were invited to be the size of a cat to witness a special night where they gather under the light of the moon...Oversized items in the junkyard will shrink you to the size of a cat as costumes and makeup transform the students into colorful felines. The Jellicle Cats come out to play on one special night of the year-the night of the Jellicle Ball. One by one they tell their stories for the amusement of Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, who must choose one of the Cats to be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life, as if 9-lives were not enough!

This all-singing, all-dancing Tony-winning musical spectacular will have something for everyone, including the award winning song Memory. Come out and see this meowsmerizing show performed by the York County ENCORE award winning Nighthawks, receiving the best overall performance award for the past three consecutive years!

Advance ticket prices are $7 for students and $8 for adults. Tickets are $2 more at the door. Tickets are on sale now in high school office or online at https://hpsd.k12.pa.us.
