HONKY TONK LAUNDRY Comes To The Millbrook Playhouse This Fall ImageThe Board of Directors and Artistic Director, David Leidholdt, present the Millbrook premiere of HONKY TONK LAUNDRY, a new musical written by Roger Bean creator of The Marvelous Wonderettes, Life Could Be A Dream. HONKY TONK LAUNDRY will begin performances on Friday, October 19, and perform through Sunday, October 28 in the Poorman Cabaret.

Move over, Thelma and Louise! When Lana Mae Hopkins, owner, and proprietress of the Wishy-Washy Washateria, hires Katie Lane Murphy to help out in the Laundromat, they soon find themselves up to their elbows in soap, suds, and cheatin' hearts. Take a ride to Nashville heaven as you watch these two country angels join forces to turn their good ol' Laundromat into a boot-scootin' honky-tonk, exacting a touch of revenge against those that done 'em wrong, and all while guaranteeing each and every customer a good, clean time! HONKY TONK LAUNDRY is chock-full of your favorite songs including "These Boots Were Made For Walkin'," "Stand By Your Man," "Before He Cheats," "Independence Day" and many more! Rated PG-13.

The production is helmed by two of Millbrook favorites; Marc De La Concha (Director and Choreographer), Martena Rogers (Musical Director.) The cast features newcomer Hannah Hammond as Lana Mae Hopkins and Rachel Sherman, last seen as Suzy in The Marvelous Wonderetts, Dream On, as Katie Lane Murphy.

The remainder of the creative team includes; Set Design by Cade Sikora, Costume Design by Linda Hughey, Lighting Design by Raven Shellman, Props Design by V.C. Deener and the Production Stage Manager is Jenn London.
