Now in its 10th year, Gettysburg Community Theatre (GCT), the not-for-profit 501c3 community theatre located at 49 York Street in historic downtown Gettysburg, is making final preparations for its 10th Annual Gala to be held Saturday, April 14th 7-11pm at Oxford Hill Manor, the beautiful home of Michael and Jane Rice. The special event fundraiser will feature Broadway guest artist Jessica Hendy singing songs from the musicals Cats, Wicked, and Beautiful: the Carole King musical, as well as fine food, open bar, and silent and live auctions.

GCT is overjoyed to announce that one of their very generous donors, Mr. Danny Sebright, has just sponsored GCT's Education & Outreach Program for 2018 and has offered to match additional funds raised for its Education & Outreach Programs in celebration of GCT's 10th Year! Any donation will be matched dollar for dollar making everyone's generous contributions stretch that much further.

"From the first moment I stepped through the doors of the Gettysburg Community Theatre over six years ago, I thought what a jewel in our community and what important opportunities it provides to our youth," said Danny Sebright. "I could not be more pleased to support GCT's important programing for children in the Gettysburg and Adams County community offering them a chance to dream and to imagine a better future for all."

Donations can be made to GCT Education during the Gala April 14th. Additionally, donations to GCT Education can also be matched when donated online, mailed into GCT, submitted in person, or over the phone between April 8-22, 2018. The entire GCT community is very moved by this incredible generosity which will help support all Education & Outreach programming at GCT including summer day camps, classes, Penguin Project, after-school program, and scholarships.

"I'm speechless and humbled at Danny's gift. We are so blessed with arts in this community and with generous donors who see a future in what we create.", says Founding Executive/Artistic Director, Chad-Alan Carr.

At the Gala, Artistic Catering in York will be serving Grilled Seasonal Vegetables with Dip, Fresh cut fruit tray, Assorted cheese tray with wafers, Brown Ale Beer Cheese Fondue with soft pretzel bites, Pan-fried beef tenderloin meatballs coated in seasonal panko bread crumbs served with a smoked marinara sauce, Smoked green tea chicken crostini's served on mini naan bread garnished with yum-yum sauce and micro greens, and Fried Mexican cheese on a stick drizzled with a tangy pepper

jam. The open bar all night will be serving beer and wine selections, and the desserts are being donated by WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital.

The silent and live auctions for the event include items such as: private helicopter ride with lunch for two to Baltimore, Levian 14 K Y/G cushion cut .78Ct. smoky quart pendant with 4 chocolate and 17 white diamonds, one week stay at Hilton Head Island condo, autographed Broadway memorabilia and theatre tickets, Brighton purse, Princess Diana souvenir plate and book, professional sports game tickets, and much more.
