Get your family into the holiday spirit at the Fulton Theatre! The Fulton opens Twas the Night before Christmas, on the main stage as the first production in the 2013-2014 Eichmann Family Theatre Series on November 30, 2013.
The all-new original hour-long musical written just for the Fulton by Artistic Director Marc Robin and Curt Dale Clark is a singing, dancing holiday fantasy that teaches a little girl named Charlotte the true meaning of family and the holidays. With the help of a few familiar holiday heroes including Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph, the Snow Queen, a band of dancing elves, and of course Santa himself, Charlotte discovers there might be more to the holidays than she first believed.
"The holidays are a magical time for families," says Marc Robin, Choreographer and Co-Director of this production. "There is nothing more magical than introducing a child to the wonder of Live Theatre. Twas the Night Before Christmas is a fantastic way for families to spend time together at the holidays, and we look forward to sharing this experience with you."
Under the direction of Robin and Clark, Twas the Night before Christmas is brought to life by the very merry cast including: Stephanie Jo Wise as Charlotte, Randall Frizado as Father, Michael Biren as the Nutcracker, Steve Calzaretta as the Christmas Gremlin, Andrew Kindig as the Mouse King, Missy Dowse as Mrs. Clause and the Snow Queen, Buddy Reader as Frosty the Snowman, and Marc Robin as Rudolph.
The creative team includes: Music Director Aaron McAllister, Scenic Designer William Mohney, Stage Manager Timothy Markus, Costume Designer Brittany Leffler, Sound Designer Jacob Mishler, and Props Designer Katelin Walsko.
Twas the Night before Christmas runs on Saturday mornings at 11AM from November 30 through December 28, 2013. Tickets range from $10 to $20 and are available through the Fulton Box Office at 717.397.7425 or online at www.thefulton.org.
Before the show, children can enhance their theater experience with a fun and educational peek behind-the-scenes pre-show workshop. Registration is an additional $10 per child and advance registration is available at thefulton.org.
Starting with Twas the Night before Christmas, the Fulton is launching a new Sensory Friendly Program for children living with social, cognitive and physical challenges (i.e. autism spectrum disorders and other sensory difficulties). Parents of young people with a sensory need may be reluctant to attend the Fulton's Saturday Morning Family Series performances as their child may not achieve the so-called norm for theatre etiquette. When purchasing tickets to the performance, parents may also request through the Sensory Awareness Program page on the Fulton website (www.thefulton.org/sensory) to receive extra instruction and support the week the family attends a Family Series production. And, on the third Saturday of our Saturday Morning Family Series, Fulton Theatre provides activities to equip young children with sensory issues with the skills necessary to participate in theatre.
