Two hit men, a washed up boxer, a gangster's wife and a pair of diner bandits take the screen as The Elks Theatre presents Quentin Tarantino's American gangster film-Pulp Fiction. The feature will be screened from a 35mm print and will be shown tonight, July 13 at 9 p.m., as part of the Elks Theatre's Cult Corner series.

Since October 2012, the Elks Theatre's Repertory Film series has been met with rousing success, with 35mm screenings of cinema classics ranging from John Carpenter's The Thing, Michael Curtiz's adaptation of White Christmas, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Back to the Future. Throughout June, the Elks presented "Spielberg Fest," which featured four of the maestro's major works: E.T., Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws and Saving Private Ryan.

General admission tickets are $8 and can be purchased at the door or at elksbo.weebly.com. Contact Max Einhorn Director of Development for more information at 717-576-9508.

For the next 8 to 10 months, the Greater Middletown Economic Development Corporation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is embarking on a vital mission to SAVE THE ELKS! from closure due to radical changes in movie technology. After celebrating its 100th anniversary last year, The Elks Theatre represents one of only thousands of small, independently operated movie theaters nationwide threatened by the discontinuation of 35mm exhibition and in vital need of digital projection. All admission sales benefit further programming, renovations, and longevity of theatre operations. Support the Elks Theatre and the GMEDC in their efforts to preserve the most timeless storytelling tradition: Going to the movies.
