A theatrical mystery is unfolding on stage at DreamWrights Youth & Family Theatre in May. Pull out your magnifying glasses and best tracking skills and help us solve this adventure.
What do a ballerina, a witch and a milk maid all have in common? They're all scaring the Footlighter theatre troupe at the old Barn Theatre on the Van Pelt estate, that's what. The director and his wife think they are either ghosts or puppets. But who's right? And why are these creatures scaring everyone on the estate? This sounds like a job for NANCY DREW: GIRL DETECTIVE!
This play is a chance for you to hone your detective skills. Will you spot the significant clues found in each scene? Better yet, will you be able to detect why things are happening? Beware of red-herrings, car chases and even a couple of bad thunderstorms that might throw you off track. Will you be able to keep up with Nancy in this fast-paced mystery? Come and see if you can piece together all of the clues before Nancy Drew and her best gal pals, Bess and George, solve this caper.
Based on the classic mystery series by Carolyn Keene and written by Marisha Chamberlain, NANCY DREW: GIRL DETECTIVE is performed by twenty-two home or cyber schooled teens from around the area and is directed by guest director, Rodd Robertson. Along with weekend shows, two daytime performances are held during the week and are open to senior groups and students.
