DreamWrights awarded the Ann Brougher Noll Memorial Scholarship to Megan Cintron and Kelsey Shealer on May 11, 2014. Ann Davis, executive director of DreamWrights, honored two local teens with $500 each as recipients of the Ann Brougher Noll Memorial Scholarship on Sunday, May 11th, 2014. The award winners are Megan Cintron - graduating senior at West York Area High School and Kelsey Shealer - rising sophomore at University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
Instituted in 2012 as a way to memorialize past executive director, Ann B. Noll, and to recognize and support young people, this scholarship is available to anyone between the ages of 17 and 20 who exhibit strong volunteerism, community involvement, and a sincere effort to seek out opportunities for creative and challenging growth. Ann Noll was passionate about young people and gave her full support and encouragement to their pursuit of exploring creative opportunities. This year, seventeen worthy teens submitted applications, making the selection process difficult. DreamWrights firmly believes that all of these young people will make an impact on the world as they continue to grow. We are proud to give Megan and Kelsey $500 each toward their future pursuits.
