DreamWrights has joined #GivingTuesday, a first of its kind effort that harnesses the collective power of charities, families, businesses and individuals in transforming how people think about and participate in the giving season. Coinciding with the Thanksgiving Holiday and the kickoff of the holiday shopping season, #GivingTuesday inspires people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities by giving back to the causes they love thereby helping to create a better world.

Taking place December 2, 2014 -- the Tuesday after Thanksgiving -- #GivingTuesday will harness the power of social media to create a national movement around the holidays dedicated to selfless GIVING, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are now synonymous with holiday shopping.

We invite you to take part in DreamWrights' #GivingTuesday campaign -- "Come Home for the Holidays". Your donation will bring families together on stage, back stage, and in the audience at The Homecoming. For every $1,500 raised, DreamWrights will donate 4 tickets to Bell Family Shelter members. Your very "unselfish" gift will help us meet our goal of bringing 48 Bell Family Shelter members to shows this holiday season. To kick it off, the DreamWrights Board and Staff will match the first $1,800 raised!

Please donate online (www.dreamwrights.org) on Tuesday, December 2nd (or send in a check). Help promote the day by snapping a shot of your fun "family" gathering and posting it on Instagram and Facebook. Share it at #familyunselfie and #givingtuesday and tag us @dreamwrightstheatre when you give!

You don't have to be a world leader or a billionaire to give back. #GivingTuesday is about ordinary people coming together doing extraordinary things.

DreamWrights is the region's non-profit, family-oriented, community theatre in which people of all ages can come together to learn and grow in a safe, supportive and positive environment. DreamWrights is located at 100 Carlisle Ave., York, and more information can be found at www.dreamwrights.org, www.facebook.com/pages/DreamWrights-Youth-and-Family-Theatre, or by calling 717-848-8623.
