Back by popular demand, the Divas! of the Lehigh Valley will offer an encore performance of their high-energy show which pays tribute to musical divas throughout the decades.
The show, produced by Star of the Day Event Productions, sold out in its debut and features local vocalists: Kirsten Almeida (of Hellertown), Andrea Cartagena (of Easton), Nina Elias (of Bethlehem),
Janis Greim (of Allentown) and Kate Pistone (of Allentown.) The Emcee for the evening is Peter Sikalias (of Whitehall.) These five talented women breathe new life into popular classics originally made famous by
Aretha Franklin,
Barbra Streisand,
Liza Minelli,
Etta James,
Ethel Merman and contemporary divas
Julia Murney,
Sherie Rene Scott, and
Linda Eder. The group will be backed by local musicians: Nate Diehl, Mark Marina, Peder Halvorsen, Ken Gross, and Andrew Sak.
Star of the Day produces professional Broadway-style cabarets at both Allentown Brew Works and SteelStacks at ArtsQuest. These five talented women have been featured vocalists with the company since its inception over three years ago as well as many other local theaters in the Lehigh Valley including Civic Theatre of Allentown, PA Playhouse, Third Mask, Allentown Public Theatre and many others.
Star of the Day Event Productions was founded in 2011 by Kirsten Almeida to entertain, educate, and encourage the community through music, theater, and dance. The company's community involvement has grown from a cabaret to raise money for the 2011 Allentown Gas Explosion Victims to working with Turning Point of LV, the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley, and Relay for Life of Bethelehem. Since its debut in early 2014 the group has grown to helping many other Lehigh Valley non-profits by providing entertainment at annual fundraising events.
These five dynamic performers work together to create an unforgettable musical experience for the audience. You are all invited to be a part of the action on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Allentown Brew Works. 8PM (Doors open at 7PM). All tickets are $10. Tickets can be purchased at the event or online by visiting Star of the Day at
