It’s a party! It’s a concert! It’s a live radio broadcast! Be part of the audience on December 17th when Ukuleles Unleashed celebrates the Holidays with “Uke the Halls!” – a festive special program on local radio station WGXC 90.7FM, broadcast live from Bridge Street Theatre’s “Priscilla Mainstage, located at 44 West Bridge Street in Catskill! Join the Catskill Ukulele Group and a chorus of vocalists from throughout the community for an evening of music classical (Benjamin Britten’s “Ceremony of Carols), traditional (“Joy to the World”, “O Holy Night”), contemporary (The Beatles “I’ll Follow the Sun”, Tori Amos “Snow Angel”, The Pogues “Fairytale of New York”), and more. There’ll even be some singin’ along (better refresh your memory on ALL the lyrics to “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer)! Come raise a glass of cheer, nosh on some holiday cookies, listen to (and participate in) some fabulous music-making, and generally just rejoice in the warmth and togetherness of this special time of year.
Bridge Street Theatre is at 44 West Bridge Street, Catskill, NY.
Our mission is to enhance the cultural life of Catskill and the surrounding areas by presenting, independently and in concert with other artists, unique theatrical productions and other similar events unlike those generally available to audiences at other theaters in the region. To bring to light works we feel have been unjustly neglected, returning them to the stage where they belong. To present, devise, and commission brand-new works for the stage. To forge a diverse community of like-minded artists to aid in the creation of our work. To continue to locate and bring to our patrons the finest in local, national, and international talent. And to keep our ticket prices affordable and our work readily accessible to the widest possible audience.
