he multi-Tony award winning musical comedy The Prom will be the next production staged by Seneca Community Players. Winner of the Drama Desk Award for Best Musical, The Prom - music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin, and a book by Bob Martin and Beguelin - follows four Broadway actors in desperate need to revive their careers. When hearing of a high school girl who has been banned from taking her girlfriend to the prom, the stars travel to her small town in Indiana in an earnest, misguided attempt to fight the injustice and receive publicity.

The cast of 28 singers, dancers and actors have come from throughout the Finger Lakes area to appear in this show. Emma Nolan, the character about whom the story centers will be played by Marley Mars of Palmyra. Canandaigua actors Kerry Bailey and Dylan DeGeorge will play Broadway actors Dee Dee Allen and Trent Oliver respectively. Joining the entourage of NY celebrities will be Damian Greskowiak of Stanley, Sofia D’Andreano of Henrietta, and Rachel Pugh from Rushville. The Madison High School PTA President Mrs Greene who wants to cancel Prom, and her daughter Alyssa who plays Emma’s girlfriend will be played by Kaitlyn Mager of Waterloo and Mary Little of Seneca Falls respectively. John Yearsley of Cayuga plays the High School Principal who tries to save the prom.
Additional members of the cast are Tarynn Tam, Jennifer Deppen, Isabella House and Lily Mager of Waterloo; Fletcher and Addie Dickmann of Rushville; Christyan Borsching from Potter; Emmett McKee from Aurora; Kyan Powers, Carter Puylara, Alyssa Marley, Kaylee Millerd, Rachel Weil, Jennifer Wick, Liam Dominguez, Ryan Herman, Emma Lorenzetti, Liam Powers and Serena Smolinski from Seneca Falls.
