Air Heart is a solo aerial performance created and performed by Mara Neimanis. Combining intense physicality and raw charisma, Neimanis reinvents physical theater. She performs on a 13-foot spinning steel airplane sculpture, channeling the life of feminist icon, Amelia Earhart, who disappeared over the South Pacific while attempting to become the first woman to circumnavigate the globe.

“Neimanis makes the impossible look supremely easy as she uses her muscular strength to emphasize the aviator’s unblinking courage, her madness for flight, and her accomplishments on and off the ground advocating for women’s rights
–The Washington Post
“Mara Neimanis has brought the famous aviatrix to life in this thrilling, fascinating, and beautiful production…Her grace and mobility is remarkable…framed by scattered bird feathers, she might as well be one.”
–The Maryland Theatre Review
