The Jewish Repertory Theatre continues its 2016/17 season with AFTER THE REVOLUTION, the second of three productions in a season of Amy Herzog plays.

AFTER THE REVOLUTION, winner of the "New York Times Outstanding Playwright Award" previews on Wednesday, February 8 and plays February 9 - March 5, 2017 at the Maxine and Robert Seller Theatre, JCC Benderson Family Building, 2640 North Forest Road, Amherst, NY.

AFTER THE REVOLUTION tells the story of the brilliant, promising lawyer Emma Joseph who proudly carries the torch of her family's Marxist tradition, devoting her life to the memory of her blacklisted grandfather. But when history reveals a shocking truth about the man himself, the entire family is forced to confront questions of honesty and allegiance they thought had been resolved. AFTER THE REVOLUTION is a bold and moving portrait of an American family, thrown into an intergenerational tailspin, forced to reconcile a thorny and delicate legacy.

AFTER THE REVOLUTION is directed by JRT Artistic Director Saul Elkin and stars Lisa Ludwig, Tom Makar, David Marciniak, Adam Rath, Tina Rausa, Anne Roaldi, Bonnie Jean Taylor and Steve Vaughan. Brian Cavanagh is Lighting Designer, Kari Drozd is Costume Designer, Tom Makar is Sound Designer and David Dwyer is Set Designer and Property Master. Amelia Scinta and Christina Serio are Stage Managers, Jessica Lake Mason is Assistant Stage Manager and Teresa Allesandra is House Manager. Of note, this production features a revolving stage, a first for JRT!

The Jewish Repertory Theatre of Western New York is a program of the JCC of Greater Buffalo. This season's original artwork is created by artist Eta Rottenberg.
