Featuring wonderful and exotic items you'll want to bid on, Chenango River Theatre's third annual Winter Gala fundraiser will be held at The Silo Restaurant from 6 - 10pm on Saturday, January 22, 2011.

Included in the evening are exquisite hors d'oeuvres, carving stations and a wealth of desserts as well as complimentary wine, beer & soda for the $60/person admission (which includes a tax-deductible gift). Corporate tables are available for 8 or 10 per table. Tickets to the event are available through January 20 by calling the theatre at 656-8778 or going online at www.chenangorivertheatre.org and clicking on the Fundraisers/Special Events link.

The Live Auction will be highlighted by two featured vacation packages. The Hollywood Vacation includes airfare for two from NYC to LA, 3 nights at the Sheraton Universal Hotel, all access backstage passes to the Live Finale of The Biggest Loser (May 24, 2011 - one of television's top-rated shows), plus dinner with the director and two tickets to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

The Endless Mountain Getaway offers a week at the intimate Endless Mountain Resort, nestled on a mountaintop in Pennsylvania less than 1.5 hours away with 58 acres of unsurpassed scenery and nearby antique shops, golf courses, lakes, parks and country fairs. The resort is close to outlet malls, museums, concerts, and numerous other activities.

Headlining this year's entertainment portion of the evening will be local favorite Susan MacLennan, singing selections from A Little Night Music as well as other favorites. Susan has performed in Tri-Cities Opera's main stage productions and with their educational opera program as a teaching assistant for The Southern Tier Institute for Arts in Education. She served as the educational coordinator and executive director for Tri-Cities Opera for several years and was a frequent featured soloist with the BC Pops in both their fully-staged musicals and Pops Concerts.

Pianist Claudia Kachmarik and auctioneer Charlie Manasse will work with Mistress of Ceremonies Heidi Weeks to make the evening memorable.

For a listing of some of the auction items that will be available, visit CRT's website (www.chenangorivertheatre.org) and click on Fundraisers/Special Events link. Silent auction items include rare vintage wines, fine photography, gift certificates to area restaurants and businesses, family membership to the Discovery Center, tickets to area sporting events, rounds of golf at area courses, as well as artwork and other fun and fine items.
