A brand new Fender electric guitar, autographed by The Rolling Stones, will be one of the featured items up for auction at Chenango River Theatre's 7th Annual Gala, held at the Silo Restaurant on April 12 from 6:00 - 9:00pm. This year's Gala will honor Nancy Phillips, a former Board member at Chenango River Theatre who was instrumental in the start up of the company and is a long time supporter of the arts in the greater Binghamton area.
Open to the public and featuring over one hundred items donated by area merchants, the Silent and Live Auctions include great bargains on vacation trips, fine artwork, jewelry, sports memorabilia and gift certificates to area attractions and restaurants.
This year's Live Auction includes the Rolling Stones guitar; a week in a private apartment in the historic village of Lourmaine, France (in the Provence region, partial airfare included); 5 nights in a Hyatt Hotel in historic Santa Fe, NM (full airfare included); plus several other items still under negotiation.
Included in the evening are exquisite hors d'oeuvres, carving stations and a wealth of desserts as well as complimentary wine, beer & soda. Admission is by reservation only - $65/person (which includes a tax-deductible gift). More information is available online at www.chenangorivertheatre.org - click on the Fundraisers/Special Events link at the top of every page.
Corporate tables will be recognized for their support at the event. Corporate table sponsors receive their choice of a 50% discount for their ad in CRT's 2014 theatre playbill or 4 complimentary tickets to any show in the 2012 season (except the musical).
Professional auctioneer Charlie Manasse will work with Mistress of Ceremonies Heidi Weeks to make the evening memorable. The evening always features additional entertainment - often of a surprising nature.
