When Syracuse's corporate battle of the bands needed a new partnering organization last year, Redhouse took center stage with the newly branded "Rockin' the Redhouse." After last year's success, Redhouse is excited to announce the second "Rockin' the Redhouse" event for today, April 25th at the Landmark Theater.

The evening, sponsored by Syracuse New Times, Family Times, and Julie's, Home of Karen's Catering, will be emceed by Ted Long and Amy Robbins from 93Q's Ted and Amy in the morning, and feature eight corporate bands competing live on stage for a chance to win a live performance at the Redhouse Arts Center. The runner-up will win a 6 hour recording package at SubCat Studios. Doors at the Landmark will open at 5:30 pm for food and drinks, and the competition will take place from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm. All proceeds benefit the Redhouse Arts Center.

This year's Rockin' the Redhouse has nearly doubled in size and features eight corporate bands- Anheuser-Busch's "Six Pack", Manlius Pebble-Hill's "Old School," Young & Franklin/Tactair's "Actuators," Syracuse Media Group's "Anonymous Sources," Carrier Corporation's "The Chillerz," Lockheed Martin's "Defense Mechanism," Raymond Corporation's "The Side Shifters," and CXtec's "CX Dinosaurs" who will also serve as the competition's judges.

The event will also feature a performance by a Redhouse Rock Camp band and the raffling off of a Fender Stratocaster Guitar (valued at $1,050), donated by The Guitar Center. In addition, every ticket holder will also be given the opportunity to sign up for a FREE one year membership to the Redhouse Arts Center.

The Rockin' the Redhouse committee is made up of Bill Hider, Redhouse's Board President, Michael Featherstone from CXtec, Bob Volk from Lockheed Martin, Kevin Kiniry from Anheuser-Busch, Jack Bocchino, and Caitlyn Oenbrink from the Redhouse.

Event tickets are $10 in advance & $15 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online at www.theredhouse.org, at the Redhouse Box Office 315-362-2785, by seeing a participating band member, and at the door. Raffle tickets are $5 for one, $20 for five, and are available at the event, or through a participating band member.
