Collaborative School of the Arts has announced the return of the On-The-Go! Tour performances. For the 24/25 season, the On-The-Go! Tour shows are “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” and “Friend of a Friend: Tales of the Underground Railroad."

Each year, the Collaborative School of the Arts, in association with Capital Repertory Theatre, presents two shows that not only have a performance at each Proctors Collaborative venue but also travel from Central New York, through the Capital Region to Massachusetts.

In October, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Washington Irving will take the road through Nov. 2. Adapted by Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill with original music by Justin Friello and Lecco Morris, Hollywood A-lister Jasmine Vander Hooven is left alone on a dark and stormy night to perform a podcast of Irving’s classic. With live Foley sound effects and music, Irving’s tale gets a contemporary treatment that honors the original and is sure to inspire and delight audiences of all ages. In addition to specialized student matinee performances, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” will be featured for public performances at each venue of Proctors Collaborative; 11 a.m. on Saturdays Oct. 19 at theREP, Oct. 26 at the GE Theatre at Proctors and Nov. 2 in the Great Hall of Universal Preservation Hall.

Starting in 2025, “Friend of a Friend: Tales of the Underground Railroad” will travel from Jan. 27 through Feb. 15. “Friend of a Friend,” by Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill & Jill Rafferty-Weinisch, takes the audience on a journey along the Underground Railroad through the captivating narrative of individuals from the Capital Region, including Solomon Northup and his family, alongside Albany’s courageous Harriet and Stephen Myers. Crafted by theREP, this original docu-play draws upon New York State archival records, vividly illustrating the reverberations of the Fugitive Slave Act within the Capital Region’s historical landscape. “Friend of a Friend” will also have public performances along with specialized student matinees at each venue. Each performance will begin 11 a.m. on Saturdays Feb. 1 in the Great Hall at UPH, Feb. 8 on the MainStage at theREP and Feb. 15 in the GE Theatre at Proctors.

Tickets to the public performances are available through the Box Office at Proctors in-person, via phone at (518) 346-6204 Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. or online by visiting proctorscollaborative.org.
