Adrienne Willis, Executive Director of LUMBERYARD STUDIOS, said, "The Hudson Valley is an ideal location for film and TV production, and LUMBERYARD Studios' facilities mean productions companies will have world-class resources here in Catskill. Our QPF designation from the State of New York is an incredible incentive to bring private investment and positive economic impact to the region, and we are proud to be a part of that effort."
LUMBERYARD Studios is a unique social impact model. Offering competitive rates and a 40%-45% tax incentive, LUMBERYARD STUDIOS reinvests 100% of its proceeds into the performing arts community and community development, helping artists create the work they imagine.
Senator George Amedore said, "LUMBERYARD Contemporary Performing Arts Center is playing an integral role in the revitalization of the Village of Catskill. In addition to the world class performing arts they are bringing to the region, the LUMBERYARD Studios' state of the art facilities will establish Greene County as a premiere destination for film production and encourage further investment in the local economy."
According to Empire State Development, New York's $420 million film incentive program offers the production industry the nation's most stable and successful production and post-production tax credits. Since 2011, the Film Production Tax Credit program has generated an estimated $19 billion in spending and created more than 1.1 million jobs.
