Kitchen Theatre to Offer Free Events in Conjunction with HEROES, 9/12-9/19

The Kitchen Theatre Company of Ithaca, NY is pleased to offer several free events in conjunction with its production of Heroes, running now through September 22nd.

On Thursday, September 12th at 6:30pm, there will be a reception and pre-show talk by Rhoda Meador, Director of the Ithaca College Gerontology Institute. Her talk is entitled, "Growing old: expectations vs reality."

On Friday, September 13th at 9:30pm and Friday September 20th at 9:30pm, there will be a talk back with the cast of Heroes directly after the show. Find out about the rehearsal process and more.

On Thursday, September 19th at 6:30pm, there will be a reception and talk byHeroes set designer Kent Lynn Goetz. The title of his talk is, "Designing is like baking bread." Come see his amazing set and learn how it came to be.

Heroes was written by Gérald Sibleyras and translated by Tom Stoppard. The play takes place in 1959 and features three residents of a veterans home in France. More information about the play can be found at www.kitchentheatre.org/heroes.html.

You do not have to have tickets to the play in order to attend these free events.
