Don't miss the most entertaining fundraiser this year! Watch as local personalities and Hangar stars compete in an epic battle of charades at the Hangar's annual benefit Acting Out on the Hangar Stage. This light-hearted FUNdraiser will be an evening full of improvised, live entertainment, as team members act out entertainment clues for all to enjoy. See the charades showdown yourself on Sunday, October 25 at 6:00pm at the Hangar Theatre. Event attendees will enjoy this spectacle, in addition to a special halftime performance, a live auction of theatrical experiences, as well as complementary snacks, wine, and beer.

The Hangar Theatre has recruited popular local personalities and Hangar stars from their summer season to partake in the event. Four teams will compete on the Hangar stage in both a battle of charades and fundraising efforts for the theatre. Breaking up the charades fun will be a halftime show directed by Hangar's Artistic Director Jen Waldman. Performing in the show will be recent Hangar alumni Sarah Dacey Charles, Shea Renne, Johnny Shea, and Bruce Warren who you may have seen on the Hangar stage this past summer. This year, the halftime show will be a musical tribute to Robert Moss, former Hangar Artistic Director 1982 - 1996. Mr. Moss was instrumental in the Hangar's artistic growth and the staff and board of trustees are looking forward to celebrating his accomplishments for the organization.

The 2015 roster of team players is as follows:

Captains of Carnage:

Steve Yale-Loehr (Hangar Trustee),

Glynis Hart (Managing Editor, Finger Lakes Community Newspapers),

Kelvin Kim (Director, GCF Productions), and

Sarah Dacey Charles (Adult Female in Hangar's

Spring Awakening).

Hounds of Hangarville:

Jamie Wells (Hangar Trustee),

Liebe Meier Swain (Strategic Planning Manager, Cayuga Medical Center),

Tilly's Follies:

Tilly Garnett (Hangar Trustee),

Mallorie David (Executive Assistant, CFCU Community Credit Union),

Frank Towner (CEO, YMCA of Ithaca and Tompkins County), and

Johnny Shea (Moritz in Hangar's

Team members are currently seeking donations to help give them a competitive advantage the night of the competition. Teams will be acknowledged at the end of the night for their performance on the stage and their fundraising efforts for the Hangar. While this battle of charades is sure to be hilarious fun for all, the real winner of the night is the Hangar's education programs which will greatly benefit from this event. Last year, the event raised just over $20,000 for Hangar educational and artistic programs.

Tickets are $50 and include complimentary drinks and light fare, the charades challenge match, and halftime tribute show. $35 of each ticket is a tax-deductible donation.

Suggested dress code is fun and festive - feel free to dress to support your favorite team. Each team will be sporting a unique color the Captains of Carnage in orange, Arno's Awakenings in green, Hounds of Hangarville in red, and Tilly's Follies in Blue.
