Cortland Repertory Theatre's "CRT KIDS" program will present four performances of an original version of the classic tale "The Jungle Book". Written and directed by local playwright Kim L. Hubbard, the show stars CRT's six performing interns of the 2015 summer season. Funny, entertaining and timely, it is appropriate for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade, and carries an important message about friendship and ecology.

Performances will be held on July 9, 11, 17 and 18 at 10:00 am at the Little York Pavilion. Running time of the show is roughly 40 minutes. Tickets are $7.00 per person, and may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or in person at the "CRT Downtown" Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. Tickets are also available for sale 24 hours a day through the CRT website at www.cortlandrep.org. The Ralph R. Wilkins Foundation, the Tiger Baron Foundation and the Marsted Foundations are sponsors of the show and the intern program.

In this fun-filled adaptation, theatre goers of all ages will adore this wonderfully imaginative and creative participation play! Mowgli is a jungle boy raised by wolves. His mortal enemy, Shere Khan, a man-eating tiger wants to rule the jungle, and it's up to Mowgli to stop him. With coaching by the Great Old Wolf, audience members participate by portraying monkeys, elephants, wolves, snakes and even a tropical storm!

The cast, all members of CRT's Performing Intern Company include Connor Cook as Mowgli, Daniel Wisniewski as Baloo, Lukas Miller as Bagheera, Logan Mortier as Kaa, Jared Goldsmith as the Old Wolf and Brian Reiff as Shere Kahn.

Assistant Director/Choreographer is Mark Reynolds. Stage Manager Rachel Kartiganer, also a member of the CRT intern program, leads the production staff, which includes Scenic Designer Ola Kraszpulska, Costume Designer Wendi Zea, Lighting Designer Louis Kreienkamp, Sound Designer Luis Payero, and Properties Designer Amanda Diaz. Dana White Jr. serves as Technical Director.
