Cooperstown Chamber Music Festival Kicks Off With Hilary Kole 8/2

The Cooperstown Chamber Music Festival kicks off its 11th season August 2 with jazz vocalist Hilary Kole and her trio. Hilary Kole co-created and originated the lead female roles in the award-winning Off-Broadway musicals, "Our Sinatra." and "Singing Astaire." Her first solo album Haunted Heart debuted in April. Ms. Kole has appeared as a headliner in New York City at Birdland, the Blue Note, Iridium, at Carnegie Hall with Michael Feinstein.

Ms. Kole's performance continues the Festival's tradition of featuring jazz artists, including Hank Jones (who Ms. Kole has performed with), Bill Charlap, Stefon Harris, the Brubeck Brothers Quartet, and Trio da Paz.

The Cooperstown Chamber Music Festival runs through 21 and features celebrated works by Bach, Beethoven and Brahms, contemporary chamber music, an international flute choir, a family concert, a Baroque recital, and a night of music and comedy. Cooperstown, home to Glimmerglass Opera, The Farmers' Museum, the Fenimore Art Museum, and the National Baseball Hall of Fame, is located in central New York State, 70 miles west of Albany and 30 miles south of the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90).

There will be two sets at 6 pm and 8 pm. At the Otesaga Resort Hotel, 60 Lake Street, Cooperstown NY. Jazz vocalist Hilary Kole and her trio will perform classics and lesser known gems from the American Songbook. Ms. Kole has appeared as a headliner in New York City at Birdland, the Blue Note, Iridium, and at Carnegie Hall with Michael Feinstein. Part of the Cooperstown Chamber Music Festival.
