Residents of the Third Congressional District will have a chance to hear from -- and be heard by -- Congressman Tom Suozzi at this, his eighth Town Hall Meeting since taking office last year. Congressman Suozzi has pledged to hold these meetings monthly through November, 2018, with the exception of August and December.
Congressman Suozzi's district runs along the north shore of Long Island from Whitestone, Queens, to Kings Park, Suffolk County, and is home to about 750,000 people.
He encourages people to vote at all levels, particularly local races, noting that school boards, county executives, town supervisors and state representatives have much more influence on day-to-day life than what happens in Washington. "More people are paying attention to public life than ever before," he said. "Democracy only works when there's competition and debate, and this is a very positive thing."
Admission is free. No tickets are issued. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Free parking after 5 PM on the streets surrounding our building and in the Municipal Lot on Shore Road.
