Byron Janis, ONE OF THE WORLD'S MOST ACCLAIMED CONCERT PIANISTS, WHO HAS PLAYED IN THE COLD WAR KREMLIN AND THE REAGAN WHITE HOUSE, WILL JOIN CO-AUTHOR AND WIFE Maria Cooper Janis, DAUGHTER OF THE LATE GARY COOPER, FOR A SPECIAL SCREENING OF "THE Byron Janis STORY" AND BOOK SIGNING OF HIS RICHLY TEXTURED MEMOIR, CHOPIN AND BEYOND.

Byron Janis WILL DONATE 25% OF THE PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF HIS BOOK AND DVD. IN ADDITION TO THE BOOK SIGNING, Byron Janis WILL ALSO PLAY A SELECTION OF PIECES FROM HIS MUSICAL SCORE "THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME" ON THURSDAY, MAY 5, 2011 FROM 7:00 PM -10.30 PM AT THE CINEMA ARTS CENTER, 423 PARK AVENUE, IN HUNTINGTON, NY. LEGENDARY JANIS OVERCAME A CHILDHOOD ACCIDENT TO HIS HAND AND CONTINUED TO PLAY - A MIRACLE ACCORDING TO DOCTORS. THEN LATER IN LIFE BYRON KEPT PAINFUL, SEVERE ARTHRITIS, IN HIS HANDS AND WRISTS, SECRET WHILE HE PERFORMED TO ACCLAIM AROUND THE WORLD.
